Caitlin was born and raised in Idaho where she began her training at age four with ballet and tap. After a couple of years, she progressed her training in jazz, hop-hop, modern and African movement. In high school Caitlin was accepted into Eugene Ballet Company's Ballet Idaho Summer Intensive and was offered a position to become a trainee in their academy. There she worked with Carol Roderick, Julie Grooters and Toni Pimble.
As a student at Boise State University, Caitlin transitioned her training to work with Marla Hansen. Under the direction of Carl Rowe and Marla Hansen, she became an apprentice for Idaho Dance Theatre, a professional contemporary company based in Boise, Idaho.
